About this picture
A frozen lake lies calm in the early evening light. The low sun sits behind the hills, and its soft gold and pink colours shine across the ice. Thin lines and patches of snow mark the surface of the lake.
Tall evergreen trees covered in snow line both shores. On the right, two wooden cabins sit near the water. Warm lights glow in their windows, and small strings of lights hang on the small trees near them. A thin line of smoke rises from one chimney. In the front, dry reeds and bare bushes stand in the snow. The sky is pale pink, pale orange, and soft grey.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the warm gold light on the ice, since its colours are easy to group.
- Look for the cabin windows and the string lights, which make bright spots to place first.
- Sort the dark evergreen trees and the snowy reeds in the front to build the edges.
