About this picture
This picture shows a pavlova on a dark metal plate. The base is pale and golden, with cracks across the crisp top. A thick layer of white cream sits in the middle. On top are fresh figs cut in halves, dark blackberries, blue-black grapes, and bright red pomegranate seeds. Small green herb sprigs are tucked among the fruit.
The table is old wood with fallen brown leaves and a few hazelnuts scattered around. A silver knife rests on the left, and a rust-red cloth lies on the right. Behind the cake, a small white teapot and a glass of water sit in soft, blurred light. The warm sunset glow gives the whole scene a calm autumn feel.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the red pomegranate seeds and dark purple figs, since they stand out clearly from the white cream.
- Begin the border with the pale golden pavlova base and the dark plate edge.
- Work on the blurred background last, because its soft orange and green shapes are the hardest to match.
