About this picture
A slice of honey cake sits on a speckled white plate in the front of the picture. The cake has many thin, golden layers with a creamy filling between them. A small piece of honeycomb rests on top, and golden honey drips down the side. Crumbs are scattered on the plate and on the wooden table.
Behind the slice, a whole honey cake sits on a wooden board with one side cut open, so you can see the layers. A cup of steaming tea, a jar of honey with a wooden dipper, cinnamon sticks, star anise and small pine cones add to the cozy scene. A folded linen napkin and a silver fork lie to the right. Through the window, the low sun glows and snow covers the trees outside.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the bright honey-coloured areas on the top slice and the golden layers.
- Try the dark wood table and the pale window frame as separate edges to find first.
- Work on the white plate and the steaming cup next, since they have clear shapes and smooth colours.
