About this picture
This puzzle shows a wooden crate full of red apples. The crate is old and grey, with worn slats and a few gaps between the boards. Many apples are piled high, some still with green leaves and short stems. A few more apples sit on a rough brown cloth on the table in front, and one yellow and red apple lies on the wooden boards at the right.
The light is warm and soft, like late sunset. Behind the table, green trees and bushes fade into a gentle blur, with bright golden spots of light between the leaves. A low wooden fence runs across the back. The mix of deep reds, golden tones and soft greens makes a calm and cozy scene.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the edges and the wooden table, since the straight lines help you place the pieces.
- Group the deep red apples in the crate together first, then fit the yellow and red apples on the right.
- Work on the blurry green and gold background last, because its soft colours can be hard to tell apart.
