About this picture
This picture shows a Japanese breakfast set on a wooden tray. In the middle there is a plate with a grilled salmon fillet, a green shiso leaf, a small mound of grated daikon and a lime wedge. Next to it sits a bowl of white steamed rice.
Around the main dishes are small bowls with a rolled golden omelette, pickled vegetables with carrot and plum, pieces of kabocha squash, and a green leafy side dish. A dark bowl holds miso soup with tofu cubes and green onion. A pale cup of green tea sends up steam. Red and orange maple leaves rest on the wooden table, and soft autumn light comes in from a window behind.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the warm orange and red maple leaves and the salmon, since these colours stand out well.
- Work on the white rice bowl and the cream plates next, using the rim edges as a guide.
- Save the blurred garden of red and yellow trees in the background for last, because it has soft shapes.
