About this picture
This picture shows wide sand dunes under a soft morning sky. In the middle there is a small oasis pond. The water is calm and still, and it reflects the trees and the pale sky. Around the pond grow tall golden grasses, rusty brown bushes and a few green palm trees. Some grey and brown rocks sit near the edge of the water.
The light is warm and gentle. The sun is low, so the sand has bright golden tones on one side and soft shadows on the other. Thin mist lies over the far dunes. Ripples in the sand at the bottom of the picture add fine lines and texture, and the curved dunes lead the eye toward the green patch in the centre.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the blue-grey water and the green palm leaves, since they are the easiest colours to find.
- Work on the rocks and the dark brown ground near the pond next, because their shapes are clear.
- Save the pale sand and sky at the top and bottom for last, since many pieces look alike.
