About this picture
A meerkat stands tall on top of a small sandy mound. It looks straight ahead with alert brown eyes, as if it is watching for something. Its front paws are held close to its body, and its thin tail rests on the ground behind it.
The light comes from a low sun at dawn or dusk. The sky glows orange and deep red, and the warm light touches the meerkat's fur and the dry grass. Frost or pale dust covers the ground in soft grey and white patches. Bare, dark branches reach across the right side of the picture, and tall dry grass fills the middle. The scene feels calm, cool and quiet.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the orange sky at the top, since its warm colour is easy to group.
- Find the meerkat's dark face and pale eyes first, then build the body around them.
- Work on the bare branches on the right, because their thin dark lines are easy to spot.
