About this picture
This picture shows a large oak tree standing alone in an open field. Its branches spread wide and reach up into the pale sky. Most of the leaves are gone, but a few brown leaves still hang on the branches.
The field is covered with tall golden grass. Some of the grass has a light frost on it, and there are small patches of white snow on the ground. Soft morning mist sits low over the land, and some trees fade into the fog far away. The low sun gives everything a warm, glowing light, with peach and pale blue colours in the sky. Shadows fall long across the grass.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the dark tree trunk and branches, since they stand out clearly against the light sky.
- Try the pale sky and the soft mist next, because their colours are smooth and similar.
- Save the tall golden grass in the front for last, as its many small shapes take more time.
