About this picture
This puzzle shows ferns on a forest floor in the early light. In front, the fern leaves are bright green and finely cut. Tiny drops of dew sit on the leaves and sparkle in the sun.
Behind the ferns, tall trunks rise up through the trees. Some trunks are covered with soft green moss. The sun shines through the branches from the back, and warm golden light fills the air. Soft rays spread between the trees, and the background turns to a gentle blur of gold and green. Fallen twigs and small leaves lie among the moss at the bottom of the picture.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the sharp dewy fern leaves in the front, since their shapes are easy to spot.
- Sort out the golden light pieces near the top to build the sunny background first.
- Group the green moss and soft blurred trees together, then fit them around the ferns.
