About this picture
A blue jay sits on a mossy branch in a quiet winter wood. The bird is the main subject. Its back and wings are bright blue with black and white bars, and its chest is soft grey. A small crest sits on its head.
Behind the bird, the forest is soft and misty. Thin trees fade into pale grey sky. A light dusting of snow covers the branch, the bark and some dry brown leaves. Some leaves are still rusty orange and one is deep red. The cool light makes the whole scene calm and still.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the blue jay, since its bright blue and black wing pattern stands out clearly.
- Group the orange and brown leaves at the lower left and centre to build that area first.
- Use the soft grey sky and misty trees at the top to find the edges of the pale background.
