About this picture
A small robin stands on a mossy stone in a quiet winter wood. The robin has a bright orange breast, a grey head and a soft brown back. Its tail feathers are short and folded. Its tiny feet hold onto the top of the rock.
The stone is covered with thick green moss, and some of it has a light dusting of frost and snow. Dry brown leaves and thin twigs lie on the ground behind it. The light is soft and warm, and the background is pale and misty, with bare branches and green ivy. The whole scene feels calm and cold.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the robin's orange breast, since it is the brightest colour in the picture.
- Next, work on the green moss on the big stone, grouping pieces by their shade of green.
- Save the blurry misty background for last, because its soft pale colours are harder to match.
