About this picture
This puzzle shows a scarlet macaw sitting on a mossy branch. The bird has bright red feathers on its body and head, with yellow and green on its wings and deep blue feathers below. Its face is pale white with small patterns, and it has a large grey-white beak with a dark tip. Its grey feet grip the branch.
The background is soft and green, with leaves and plants out of focus. Warm light falls on the bird and the branch, and small drops of water sparkle on the leaves. Green moss and ferns cover the wood at the bottom and left side of the picture.
How to play
Choose how many pieces you want, then press Play. Drag a piece with your mouse or your finger. When it comes close to its neighbour, the two pieces click together.
Many players start with the edges: "Edges only" shows just the border pieces. "Preview" shows the whole picture, and "Ghost" puts a soft copy of it under the board. Your game saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later. There is no rush: take your time.
Tips
- Start with the edges and the corners, which are easy to find in the green background.
- Sort the red and orange feathers of the bird into their own group first.
- Look for the blue wing feathers and the grey feet to find the middle pieces.
